Job Safety Audits (JSAs) LIBRARY

horizontal lineA Job Safety Analysis (JSA) is a method that is used to identify, analyze and record the following:

1.)    The steps involved in performing a specific job.

2.)    The existing or potential safety and health hazards associated with each step.

3.)    The recommended actions/procedures that will eliminate or reduce these hazards and the risk of a workplace injury or illness.

It is an excellent tool to use during new employee orientations and training and can be used to investigate “near misses” and accidents.
